Disney here we come! (again!) September 3, 2008

I love my in-laws, seriously they are awesome awesome people, they love their grandkids to pieces. So in December we are all headed to Disney again, I love that my kids get to experience Disney at all different ages. I never went until I was 22! So yeah, we get to see Disney decorated for X-mas this year, I am excited, probably more than Davey! lol!
This will be our first vacation with Davey in underwear, eek, makes me kind of nervous, but I’m sure he’ll do great!
And to keep the count down in check, here is a ticker!

Davey has been wearing underwear all day for the past 3 days!!! He pees and poops on the potty, it is wonderful to not be changing a smushed up poopie diaper. We ran out of diapers a few days ago and just didn’t buy anymore, we told him the diapers were all gone and he was fine with it.
I am so proud of him!

My little boy is growing so fast. I was watching videos from last November earlier and I can’t believe the difference! He still looked so babyish back then and now he looks so kid-ish, lol.
He is going to be Sully from Monsters Inc. for Halloween, I found a costume on craigslist for $10.00 and had to get it. These costumes are going for like $40.00 on ebay, so I was glad to find a cheap one for my lil man. He’s all excited about Halloween and even more excited about his birthday! He keeps asking me when it is, and telling me he’ll be 3.
He has decided he wants a cowboy birthday theme this year, that should be fun to plan for. Little cowboy hats and kerchiefs. We’re doing cold cuts this year instead of having Dave slave over the grill the whole time.

So in the car when we turn a corner, Davey will ask which way we’re going. I always tell him right, left or straight.
He now knows his left from his right. Earlier today on our way to the store asked me which way we were going and I just pointed and said “that way” and he said “we’re going left?” (we were) and I was like 
“yes we are!”. Then he told me “this is my right hand” holding up his right hand, I told him he was right. Then he said “this is my left hand” holding up his left hand, again I told him he was correct.
So the rest of the way there I kept asking him “which hand is this?” and I’d hold up one of my hands, and he got it correct every time. My little boy knows his right from left!

I think this is so cute, when Davey tries to say polka-dots, he says polka-nots. It’s just so cute and something I want to remember when he is older so I figured I’d throw it in the blog.
He’s doing well, he is quite the comedian lately, although his main topic is poop. Yep, poop. He thinks it’s hilarious when he uses the word poop in place of another word. *rolls eyes* 2 year olds! lol!
And just because he’s a cutie, here’s 2 pics (taken with my new awesome canon rebel).
He loves that thing, his Gramma bought it for him.

So Davey peed on the potty again today. I can’t help but get excited every time he does this, even though it’s not often and never leads anywhere.
But he did it today after a while of having his diaper off, he ran over and peed and got all excited.
He still prefers to have a diaper put on afterwards though, he isn’t excited about big boy underwear anymore.

He is growing up so fast, sometimes I am amazed at how I can sit and have a conversation with him, just over 2 years ago he was a tiny fragile little thing! He loves wrestling with Dave, and he is one tough cookie, honestly, he gets thrown around and LOVES it. lol.
He is becoming more aware that Jake is going to be coming out, he’s had his ups and downs with it, last week he told me he didn’t want to share a room with baby Jake and that he couldn’t be a big brother. But this week he was hugging my belly and telling baby Jake to come out.
I hope he doesn’t take the adjustment too hard when Jake actually gets here.

He has gone ONCE before and that was in Florida right after we got back from the pool. So today before my shower, he told me he wanted to go pee-pee. I put him on the toilet and got in the shower, I figured he wouldn’t go (he usually sits on it for a second and then says “maybe next time”.) So then I was shampooing my hair and I heard tinkling! I looked out and he was peeing! I got so excited, I got him a lollipop and a sticker as soon as I got out of the shower. Let’s hope this is a start of something. lol. This is the 2nd time ever, that he’s peed in the toilet.
